No, I don't like Twilight – swipe left. I haven't seen Pride And Prejudice – swipe down to ignore. What about Pulp Fiction? Great film, swipe right. Sound familiar, Tinder users?

Inspired by the dating app, Tinsel generates a list of personalised cinema recommendations, both for watching at home and on the big screen, based on whether users like or dislike certain films.

Seeing as there are so many different ways to catch a flick these days, the app will also tell you where you can find a given film and which streaming provider you can use.

Users can also create their own lists and reminders about interesting films or subscribe to the Tinsel creators' YouTube channel.

The app is available for free for iOS and Android. — dpa
