Shaquille O'Neal stars in a new reality series that will follow the basketball legend as he launches a new chicken restaurant for Facebook Watch.

Called "Big Chicken Shaq," the eight-episode series will take his fans behind the scenes in the making of his newest restaurant venture, reports Variety.

The original series will air on Facebook's video-on-demand platform Watch, which launched in the United States last summer.

Shaq will also reach out to his fans on Facebook, who will be able to interact directly with the star.

"It's going to be so much fun designing my own restaurant, and I can't imagine a better group of people to do it with than my incredibly loyal Facebook fans," O'Neal told Variety.

"It's an opportunity for us to collaborate, and I know the Facebook community will offer terrific feedback."

The restaurant Big Chicken is set in Las Vegas and the show is set to be released this fall.

O'Neal is no stranger to the food business. He reportedly owns 155 Five Guys franchises, along with Krispy Kreme and Auntie Anne's Pretzels stores in the United States. — AFP Relaxnews
