A horror spoof of a popular animated show crowns Itch.io after big league YouTubers give 6 AM At The Chum Bucket some love, an alternative approach to historical action adventure Kingdom Come: Deliverance is well-received at a retailer once traditionally associated with retro games, and two authorised Steam key resellers make bank on virtual cash for Grand Theft Auto Online in our weekly look at bestselling PC games on June 9.

There was little movement at the top of the Steam chart as the giant PC game retailer drew its two-week mid-year sale to a close.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds maintained its usual position at the top of the best-seller chart, while The Witcher 3 replaced Jurassic World Evolution in the top five's only change.

Grand Theft Auto V, second on Steam's chart for the second week running, also popped up on the GamersGate and Fanatical charts by way of virtual currency cards for the game's online multiplayer portion.

The Humble Store conducted a DRM-free sale – participating titles are without additional copy-protection – and as a result saw its top five flush with popular indie games such as Hollow Knight and Faster Than Light, while well-received Japanese adventure The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel and home improvement sandbox House Flipper benefited from launch discounts.

On GOG, late Middle Ages action adventure Kingdom Come: Deliverance was subject to a sale offer in conjunction with the launch of a side-story add-on, From The Ashes, which swaps the fall of the Holy Roman Empire for a more restful bout of town management.

And on Itch.io, attention from YouTube heavyweights DanTDM and Jacksepticeye helped propel 6 AM At The Chum Bucket, a horror spoof of animated show Spongebob Squarepants and sequel to 3 AM At The Krusty Krab, up to the site's peak.
