Lenovo launches flagship smartphones below US$200 for a turnaround destiny in China

Lenovo has launched a new phone in a bid to revive its flagging smartphone sales.

Lenovo Group, the PC giant and phone minnow, has launched a new series of low-priced smartphones to lead the sales revival in its home market, the world’s largest and most competitive for intelligent mobile devices.

The Z5 model, which is priced from 1,299 yuan (US$200 or RM806) to 1,799 yuan (RM1,116) based on variants in memory size and storage capacity, comes in at the low end compared with the flagship model of Huawei Technologies, which sells at up to 5,000 yuan (RM3,104).
