Oppo's RS9 pride is its 16-megapixel cameras.

China smartphone maker Oppo has dropped the price of its flagship Oppo R9s, down to RM1,398.

The Oppo R9s price has been reduced on Oppo's online store and its Lazada storefront, down from the RM1,828 listed price.

The company had also previously dropped the price to RM1,598 last October.

With the latest pricing, Oppo has positioned the R9s in the mid-tier price range, at nearly half the price of the larger R9s Plus.

The phone launched last January featuring a 5.5in Full HD display running on a Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

It's main selling point was its cameras – a 16-megapixel f/1.7 rear facing camera and a 16-megapixel f/2.0 front facing camera.

Other discounted models include the Oppo A77 at RM798, down from RM1,398; the A57 at RM798, down from RM1,098; and the A37 at RM598, down from RM798.
