PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (or PUBG for short) is taking one step closer to professional tournament status with a May 4 Charity Invitational celebrating 128 of the livestreamers that have supported the battle royale during its launch.
Taking its name from Brendan Greene, the designer who pushed the "battle royale" concept in fan-made modifications for military simulation games Arma 2 and Arma 3, as well as commercial release H1Z1: King Of The Kill, in recent months PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has become top dog on PC gaming network Steam.
