Facebook personal fundraisers are launching for those over 18 years old in the US.

The social networking platform is allowing users to raise money in relation to six types of spending: education, medical, pet medical, crisis relief, personal emergency, and funeral and loss.

Facebook's personal fundraising feature will launch in the US and as a beta trial program over the next few weeks, the company's VP for Social Good said in a news post on March 30, 2017.

"You can share it in a newsfeed and invite friends directly to your fundraiser," a video explained. "People can donate in a few taps right on Facebook, and can easily share their fundraiser with their own friends."

Furthermore, donate buttons, introduced in 2016 for over 750,000 non-profits, will also be made available to use during and after live broadcasts. —  AFP Relaxnews
