Facebook takes on crowdfunding with personal fundraisers

Facebook personal fundraisers are launching for those over 18 years old in the US.

The social networking platform is allowing users to raise money in relation to six types of spending: education, medical, pet medical, crisis relief, personal emergency, and funeral and loss.

Facebook's personal fundraising feature will launch in the US and as a beta trial program over the next few weeks, the company's VP for Social Good said in a news post on March 30, 2017.
