Spend wisely: Rowsell-Jones says that Malaysian CIOs should take a good look at their IT spending and allocate more budget to hot technologies.

Malaysian chief information officers (CIOs) are still spending their IT budgets in the wrong places, according to Gartner’s Andy Rowsell-Jones, Gartner’s vice-president and research director of the CIO and executive leadership research team.

Rowsell-Jones was commenting based on the results obtained from Gartner’s 2017 CIO Survey, where a total of 2,598 chief information officers from around the world responded, of which 32 were Malaysian CIOs.
