If you rent out your home using homesharing services like Airbnb or HomeAway, chances are you’ll probably also have experienced the hassle of having to clean and prepare the home so it’s presentable for the next guest that comes along.
This is where a new service called GuestReady comes in – the service aims to provide “management services for short term rentals", which essentially means that the company provides a complete list of hotel-like services, from cleaning and laundry to check-in and check-out of guests.
In fact, GuestReady goes further than that and can be engaged to manage the entire property, including guest communication, maintaining listings on multiple short term rental sites and “ensuring that the property generates the maximum possible yield.”
According to Tan Wen Dee, co-founder and managing director of GuestReady in Malaysia and Singapore, Kuala Lumpur is a very popular tourist destination, and in 2015 alone the Brickfields area grew in popularity by some 1,200% on Airbnb and was ranked the third top trending destination on the homesharing site.
As far as pricing goes, GuestReady has a number of price plans – for standalone services, there is a pay as you go option, while those going for the full range of management services will be charged a service fee starting from 12% of booking revenues or a defined amount for a guaranteed monthly income.
The startup’s founding team consists of former executives of Rocket Internet ventures like Zalora, Foodpanda, Kaymu and Windu and is backed by the Switzerland Swiss Founders Fund and in addition to Kuala Lumpur, GuestReady also operates in Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Paris and Amsterdam.
The company is also planning to roll out its services in other countries soon. For more information check out the website here.
