GE takes digital strategy to China with Huawei tie-up

SHANGHAI: General Electric Co on July 20 said it would partner with Huawei Technologies Co Ltd to develop smart machines designed to boost productivity, part of a drive to promote its "industrial Internet" business in China. 

The US industrial giant announced the partnership as it launched an US$11mil (RM44.42mil) digital space in Shanghai, where it plans to incubate startups and have developers work on new software applications to make machines more intelligent.
