Singapore PM says cyberattacks prompt Internet shutdown on government computers

SINGAPORE: Singapore is to cut off Internet access for government employees' work computers to protect government data after some "very sophisticated" cyberattacks, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was quoted as saying on Thursday.

The move will come into force from May next year and affect about 100,000 computers in use in the public service in the city-state, local media said.
