Fitness brand Withings has launched a new connected scale that analyses cardiovascular health to help users lose weight.

‘Body Cardio' works by tracking ‘pulse wave velocity', or the rate at which heartbeat vibrations spread through the arteries. The measurement, which has previously only been available in hospitals, can be used to indicate cardio health levels and potential problems such as high blood pressure or hypertension.
