LONDON: Senior British politicians have called for voter registration for the June 23 referendum on EU membership to be reopened after a government website crashed shortly before the deadline on the night of June 7, hampering some people's efforts to register.
The deadline passed at midnight, and half a million people registered online on the final day, according to a government website that provides data on the voter registration system.
