Chinese auto website Bitauto to get US$300mil in funding

Betting on auto: Tencent's Future Mobility venture has been going on a hiring spree, nabbing high-profile recruits from such firms as Tesla Motors Inc, BMW AG, Google's Alphabet and Mercedes-Benz.

Chinese auto information website operator Bitauto Holdings Ltd said it is raising US$300mil (RM1.22bil) from Internet companies Tencent Holdings Ltd, Baidu Inc and JD.com Inc and an additional investor. 

The three companies will invest US$50mil (RM203.74mil) each in Bitauto.
