The Mi Band 2 is a fitness and activity tracker retailing for under US$23 (RM95).

It is the company's third tracker, after the Mi Band and Mi Band Pulse. Xiaomi announced the launch in a blog post.

According to Xiaomi, the company has sold over 20 million trackers since first launching the original Mi Band two years ago. Like the Fitbit tracker, the Mi Band 2 tracks steps, monitors heart rate and features a small display.

Users can also activate a new vibration feature, which reminds the wearer of the need to move around throughout the day.

The Mi Band 2 uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to the user's phone, and its battery is said to last up to 20 hours.

The device will first go on sale in China from June 7. — AFP Relaxnews
