Spotify revenues grow 80% to 1.9bil euros in 2015, op loss widens

STOCKHOLM: Music streaming service Spotify reported an 80% increase in revenues to 1.945bil euros (RM8.96bil) in 2015 as its user base swelled and it expanded in new markets, a filing showed.

The Stockholm-based company, which provides free on-demand music or ad-free tunes for paying customers, posted an operating loss of 184.5mil euros (RM849.8mil), compared with 165.1mil euros (RM760.2mil)  in 2014.
