KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur City Council (DBKL) has been named a finalist in IDC’s Smart City Asia Pacific Awards (Scapa) 2016 in the Public Works category.

This smart city initiative, called the Heavy Vehicle Classification System (HVCS), was implemented to address the traffic problem in Kuala Lumpur during peak hours.
