SoundCloud extends paid-for music streaming service to UK, Ireland

FRANKFURT: German online music startup SoundCloud said it has expanded its new subscription service SoundCloud Go to the United Kingdom and Ireland, weeks after launching in the United States as it chases competitors such as Apple and Spotify. 

SoundCloud, which enables people to record, upload, promote, and share their own music and other audio files, said it would offer its content free of advertising in the UK for a monthly subscription fee of £9.99 (RM57) and in Ireland for €9.99 (RM45).
