Petronas man is new MDEC chairman

Tan Sri Sidek Hassan will be the new chairman effective May 1.

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) has announced the appointment of Tan Sri Sidek Hassan as its new chairman effective May 1.Sidek succeeded Tan Sri Abdul Halim who served MDEC as chairman for 13 years.

He was formerly the chief secretary to the government from 2006 to 2012 and is currently the chairman of Petroliam National Berhad (Petronas).
