'FNAF World' released weeks in advance, appears sincere in new cute look

It was only two weeks ago that the fifth game in horror franchise Five Nights at Freddy's received a release date (Feb 19) but that announcement didn't stop developer Scott Cawthon from launching the cute and goofy FNAF World well in advance on Jan 21. 

A penchant for surprise events is something that Cawthon has become known for, not only through the content of his jumpscare-laden, YouTube-friendly horror series, but also the increasingly frequent demolition of release dates.
