Malaysia ranks 73 in average Internet connection speeds

Fast, but not fast enough: This chart from Akamai Technologies shows average Internet connection speeds and peak speeds of notable countries around the globe, with Malaysia lagging behind neighbouring country Thailand

Akamai Technologies, the company that provides one of the largest content delivery network services in the world, has released a State of the Internet report for the third quarter of 2015. It reveals that while global connection speeds are steadily increasing, as is broadband adoption, Malaysian still lags behind neighboring countries in average connection speeds.

The report, which was taken from data collected from Akamai's Intelligent Platform, provides insight into global statistics such as connections speeds, broadband adoption, Internet disruptions and IPV6 implementation.
