Sony cuts PlayStation 4 price to match Xbox One

Price cut: Sony is taking US$50 off its retail price to not cede any more ground to Microsoft's Xbox One.

SAN FRANCISCO: Sony sliced US$50 (RM206) off the price of PlayStation 4 videogame consoles, matching that of rival Xbox One ahead of the frantic holiday shopping season. 

The PS4 drop to US$350 (RM1,445) in the United States and to C$430 (RM1,372) in Canada starting Oct 9, according to Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA).
