Up in arms: Relatives and supporters of London's taxi drivers holding a demonstration outside of the headquarters of Transport for London, which launched a public consultation on Sept 30 on a series of proposals that would affect all minicab services.

LONDON: Ride-sharing giant Uber launched a petition that had more than 116,000 signatures by Oct 1 against proposed regulation in London that would force drivers to pass English language and map reading tests.
