Pushing Tidal: Beyonce is one of the artistes that will be performing at a concert to publicise the Tidal music streaming service.

Jay Z is organising a high-profile New York event on Oct 20 to publicise his music streaming service

Tidal X:1020 will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and tickets will go on general sale Friday.  Tidal subscribers can buy them from Wednesday.

As well as Beyonce and Prince, other artists confirmed for the concert, the proceeds from which are being donated to charity, include Nicki Minaj, Damien Marley, Usher, Lil Wayne and Nick Jonas and, of course, Jay Z himself.

For those that can't make it to New York on October 20, the event will also be live streamed on Tidal. — AFP Relaxnews
