EXPANDED ROLE: LG was previously responsible for the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5.

According to the site AndroidPIT, in addition to Huawei, LG might also be building a new Nexus phone, so as to present Google with two models of different sizes.

Every year since 2010, Google has released a Nexus smartphone without a manufacturer UI that is capable of being unlocked in order to access the system and develop or customise it. Of course, these are also the first models to be upgraded with new versions of Android.
