SNAPCHAT STYLE: Facebook users can add text, stickers from its Stickered app and filters to their images.

Facebook has added new features to its iOS app that bear more than a passing resemblance to Snapchat.

Users of the social network can now add text, stickers from its Stickered app, and filters to their images, The Verge reports. The development aims to create "a new place to house photo-editing tools," a Facebook spokesperson told the publication.

Facebook allegedly attempted to buy the photo messaging service Snapchat in 2013.

The new editing features are not yet available on Android. — AFP Relaxnews
