The International 2015 will see 16 of the best Dota2 teams in the world compete for glory in Seattle.
Four more teams have secured a place in the upcoming Dota2 The International 2015 after emerging as the winners of regional qualifiers.
For the China qualifier, EHOME beat CDEC Gaming, TongFu, TongFu.Wanzhou and Energy Pacemaker to secure the top spot.
On the European front, former champion and tournament veteran Natus Vincere, better known as Na’Vi, emerged the winner.
MVP.Hot6ix from South Korea took out its sister-team MVP.Phoenix, in the Southeast Asia region qualifier while compLexity Gaming was the victor for the American qualifier.
The runner-ups from each of the regional qualifiers – North American Rejects, CDEC Gaming, Vega Squadron and MVP.Phoenix – will have to slug it out for the last two remaining spots.
All in all, there will be 16 teams duking it out for the grand prize which is increasing by the day. The organiser Valve contributed US$1.6mil (RM5.9mil) and the rest will come from the sale of The International Compendium 2015.
As the time of writing, the total prize pool was about to hit US$10.5mil (RM38.6mil).
Team Malaysia will be representing our country as one of the directly invited teams to what many call the Dota2 “World Cup”.
