One out of four mobile phone users is on a 4G network

EXPONENTIAL GROWTH: Close to a quarter of mobile phone users worldwide now have a 4G connection.

During the first quarter of 2015, 23% of smartphone users worldwide said their standard connection was a 4G/LTE network, according to a study published by GlobalWebIndex. 

This is a new record for the high-speed connection, which is now almost as widespread as 3G. The latter remains the leading network technology, used by 30% of those surveyed.
