A new set-top box will boast a touchpad controller for better navigation. 

According to The New York Times, the new controller will feature just two buttons to ensure it retains Apple's philosophy for simplicity and ease of use and is expected to make its debut, alongside the new Apple TV that it will control, at the company's WWDC conference in June.
