United Airline's digital plans include more day-of-travel mobile features

UNITED Airlines is building digital tools, including an Apple Watch app, to guide customers on their day of travel and advise passengers in need of flight changes, a marketing executive said recently. 

The airline can already use data to identify passengers most likely in need of services, said Tom O'Toole, senior vice-president for marketing and loyalty.
