SHOCKER: Halo 5: Guardians' big reveal suggests Halo franchise star Master Chief may be better described as a traitor instead. Say it isn't so!

Following the reveal of Halo 5: Guardians material that suggests Halo franchise star Master Chief may be better described as a traitor, we look at five other games whose heroes have dubious motivations. Spoilers for the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Borderlands, Assassin's Creed series, and Spec Ops: The Line, are contained within.

A clip posted to Soundcloud and Tumblr accounts HuntTheTruth contained three minutes of setup on Halo 5 from fictional investigative journalist Benjamin Giraud (Keegan-Michael Key): "I've gotten to talk to a lot of people who claim they know the real Master Chief: the boy, the soldier, the hero ... the traitor?" he said.
