Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi has joined forces with footwear company Li-Ning to create a line of 'smart' running shoes that will track exercise and health data.
As reported in the South China Morning Post, the partnership will mark Li-Ning's entry into the wearables market, following in the footsteps of sportswear leaders such as Nike – which collaborated with Apple to release the Nike+ iPod Sports Kit in 2006 – and Under Armour.
