TOP CAT: British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran took top spots on Spotify's end-of-year charts.
Streaming service Spotify has released its round-up of 2014's most popular music, with global figures showing Pharrell Williams's ubiquitous tune Happy took first place among songs, while Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and Coldplay were among the hottest acts.
English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran was named the top male artist of the year, followed by Eminem and Calvin Harris, and Sheeran's latest LP, x, took top album.
