Samsung's take on loyalty cards could well win consumers' stamp of approval

JUST LIKE PASSPORT: The Samsung Wallet Stamp system keeps the physical stamp but makes the loyalty card digital.

The payments industry is slowly being shaken up by electronic wallets and services like Apple Pay, but most consumers' wallets and purses are also stuffed full of physical loyalty cards — the type that get stamped every time you buy a coffee — as well as coins and credit cards. 

Samsung's take on cutting down on this particular clutter is to keep the stamp, but make the card digital.
