UPDATE: Apple announced it will be updating the Health app to include the capacity to display accurate glucose readings measured using devices that work in millimoles per liter.

Apple announced it will be updating the Health app to include the capacity to display accurate glucose readings measured using devices that work in millimoles per liter (mmol/L), a measurement used in several countries including England and Australia.

Until now, users measuring their blood glucose using a device that works in millimoles per liter have not been receiving accurate readings because such devices were not compatible with the platform which measures milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL).
