CASHLESS ALTERNATIVE: Barclays bpay band

Football fans in the Britain will be the first to be able to benefit from contactless payment on match days with the bPay wristband by Barclays.

Southampton Football Club has signed an agreement with the British bank which will see it distribute Barclaycard's bPay bands to fans in the team's colors.

The move means supporters will be able to use special ‘contactless bPay lanes' on match days to beat the queues at bars and catering outlets inside the stadium, in addition to a range of special offers for season ticket holders.

The bPay concept allows customers to pay for items by swiping the bracelet over the mobile payment reader.
