WEAR A COACH ON YOUR WRIST

Finland-based Polar has announced a GPS-integrated smartwatch. Its new coaching functions include preset training programs adaptable to users' fitness levels and goals.

It provides feedback immediately after each session and its Running Index function tells users how to improve upon their technique. A fitness test is included for goal setting and motivation.

The M400 is waterproof although it is unable to measure cardiac rates underwater because it measures them with Bluetooth Smart. The GPS function is capable of reading altitude levels and provides vivid map readings on the corresponding Polar Flow app.

Like others of its kind, it comes with traditional activity tracking features including calorie tracking and can display daily activity on graphs for visual users. It also alerts the user when it's time to move.

It comes in black and white and will be available starting in October for €119.90 by itself and for €159.90 with an H7 Bluetooth cardiac device.
