Uber rolls out carpooling social experiment for cheaper rides

SOCIAL EXPERIMENT: Uber has announced the launch of UberPool, which teams up riders taking the same route.

Uber has jumped onto the car-sharing wagon with the launch of UberPool, which teams up riders taking the same route. 

The concept works much like the existing Uber private car initiatives, letting users book a ride directly from their smartphone via its app.
