Huawei demos new WiFi norm with 10-fold speed increase

BLAZING FAST: Huawei says that its new WiFi technology could reach the market by 2018.

The Chinese manufacturer Huawei announced that it has successfully tested a new WiFi norm capable of a record transfer speed of 10Gbps, making it 10 times speedier than the fastest technology currently on the market. 

Testing of the WiFi 802.11ax standard, the prospective successor to 802.11ac, was carried out in a lab on the company's research campus in Shenzhen, China.
