3D printers are still relatively rare in consumer households, but new research has revealed that one million homes worldwide are expected to have purchased the technology by 2018.
A study by technology analysts Juniper Research suggests that sales will jump from an estimated 44,000 this year, in part due to the growth of more established printing brands, such as HP, which will make the technology much more accessible.
