The latest, which comes courtesy of the San Francisco Chronicle, claims that Apple is looking to create a device that can predict a medical emergency. A team, headed by Tomlinson Holman, "is exploring ways to predict heart attacks by studying the sound blood makes at it flows through arteries," it reports.
The news follows a report out of China on Friday - which was first spotted and translated by Apple Insider - that said the much-speculated-about 'iWatch' would be able to monitor both heart rate and blood oxygen levels and that Apple is even toying with the idea of applying optoelectronics in order to read the wearer's blood glucose levels.
