Although the new iPad Air's pencil-thin ultra-light body garnered the most headlines following Apple's huge product launch event this week, industry watchers believe that as more and more consumers plump for smaller tablets, the future of bigger 9in+ display devices seems uncertain.
Gartner's latest figures, published on October 21, show that the consumer appetite for tablets shows no sign of being sated with shipments expected to grow another 53.4% this year to 184 million devices.
