Virtual stickers have become a hit in messaging apps and social media, and now Werebits Sdn Bhd is including them in Chopink, its digital loyalty system which uses a smartphone app to replace paper-based loyalty cards.
The new feature is called Chop-Stick and it will allow users to snap a photo and add a virtual sticker before sharing it with friends on social media.
Werebit marketing director Ho Heng Yew said the company hopes the new feature will provide a fun new experience for users as they use ChopInk to collect loyalty points.
“We hope to harness the influence of emoticon stickers to create a strong brand following over social media,” he said.
The mobile app space is changing radically and we want to help retailers stay on top of the game by giving them the right tools to engage customers, said Ho.
“ChopInk is still new in the cardless loyalty programme environment. With Chop-Stick, we hope we can encourage a more dynamic engagement and conversation between merchants and consumers and ultimately help boost consumer’s loyalty to the merchants’ brands,” he added.
Werebits says Chop-Stick will be available on ChopInk starting next month.
