USA editions of the Nintendo Wii U have a multi-voltage power supply despite printed information to the contrary on the AC adapters
Apparently, this is not the first time a manufacturer has intentionally labelled a power supply as supporting only 110V power — Sony has done so for a previous PlayStation generation in an effort to curb grey exports of the consoles to countries that have higher output voltages.
