SAN FRANCISCO: A coffee date with Apple chief Tim Cook was a hot opportunity as bidding hit US$160,000 (RM484,560) for the chance being auctioned to raise money for a human rights group.
By nightfall, a bidder identified as Clearcrate.com at the Charitybuzz website was in the lead for the prize of spending 30 minutes to an hour with Cook over coffee in his office at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California.
