MINI: A model holding the new Ninetology Outlook Android tablet.

FANS of Android tablets now have two more models to choose from with the launch of Ninetology WiFi-only Outlook and Outlook Xpress.

The bigger sibling, Outlook, boasts an 8in touchscreen with a resolution of 1,024 x 768-pixels, 1GB RAM and operates on an Allwinner A10 1GHz multi-core processor.

It also has a HDMI port for easily connecting it to a big screen HDTV.

Outlook Xpress, on the other hand, has a 7in display with a resolution of 800 x 600-pixels, 520MB RAM and is powered by an Allwinner A13 1GHz multi-core processor.

The Outlook runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and Outlook Xpress is using the older Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The newer OS features updated camera functions, keyboard with better dictionaries, enhanced text-to-speech functionality and support for contact-free NFC sharing of photos and videos, as well as an improved facial recognition mode that requires you to blink before the phone will unlock.

Moving on, both tablets feature 8GB of storage which can be further expanded via the built-in microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB.

Both have a VGA (0.3-megapixel) front facing camera for making video calls.

Available now, the Outlook and Outlook Xpress can be purchased for RM699 and RM499 respectively. — ZAM KARIM
