DO YOU have a lot of data that you just can’t leave home without? Western Digital’s next generation My Passport portable hard drives now come with more storage capacity, going up to 2TB in size.

The new 2TB model offers massive capacity for storing probably all of your photos, videos, music and important files and it is USB-powered, negating the need to use a separate power supply.

The outer shell of the new My Passport now has a premium finish, designed to be more resistant to scratches and fingerprints.

The portable drives will be USB 3.0 compatible for high speed data transfers while keeping USB 2.0 connectivity.

Carrying the hard drive around does potentially expose it all sorts of hazards. Fortunately, Western Digital has included its Smartware automatic backup software and WD Security to keep your passwords and hardware encrypted.

The new My Passport 2TB portable hard drives will be available at selected retailers and resellers for a recommended retail price of RM699.
