GPS navigation system TomTom App for iPhone 1.9 has been updated to work better on the iPad.

According to TomTom International BV, the updated version takes advantage of the Tablet’s bigger screen, and features a higher resolution fullscreen display that shows both the driving view and advanced lane guidance at the same time.

With an improved user interface, users can shift driving views with one touch from anywhere on the screen, access guidance options in a single tap and switch between different route types more easily.

Additionally, the TomTom App for iPhone/iPad 1.9 comes with a new map release that has updated roads, more accurate information about fixed speed camera locations and points of interest.

The app retails for USD69.99 (RM214) on the Apple App Store. Existing TomTom App for iPhone customers can download the new version of the app to their iPad for free.
