Pen Touch 2

WACOM has introduced its third-generation Tablets, the Bamboo Fun and Pen & Touch which feature wireless capability, improved design and multi-touch.

The Tablets can operate within a range of 10m and even work while their batteries are being charged.

The Pen & Touch can last for 15 hours on a single charge and the Fun for 10 hours.

However, users will have to purchase a wireless accessory kit which includes a dongle for connecting the Tablets to a PC or Mac.

Wacom says that the addition of multi-touch will make the Tablets more intuitive to use. Users can swipe their fingers over the Tablets to scroll, pinch to zoom or use two fingers to rotate drawings.

Also, the Pen & Touch has four customisable express keys for easy navigation.

To get users started on drawing and painting, Wacom will bundle the Tablets with a variety of apps such as ArtRage 2.5, Photoshop Elements, Corel Paint Essentials 4 and Bamboo Scribe 3.0.

The company also unveiled a base model, the Pen, for beginners.

The Pen, Pen & Touch and Fun retail for RM299, RM419 and RM719 respectively. The wireless accessory kit will be available in November but the price has yet to be announced. — CHONG JINN XIUNG
