KUALA LUMPUR: Many malls are reluctant to hold anti-software-piracy campaigns because the managements fear such moves will affect business, according to the Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Ministry.
To help counter this, said Mohd Roslan Mahayudin, director-general of enforcement, the ministry has programmes to raise public awareness that software piracy is a crime, and worse, has detrimental effects on society and the economy.
